When you are looking to apply for anything to do with finance in your day-to-day life, including bank accounts, household utilities or mobile phones, companies will check your Credit History so you can see exactly what they base their decisions upon. They will be able to see exactly how much credit you currently have and how accurate you have previously been with credit repayments.
Many companies will then take this information and put it into their own credit scoring system. You will then be scored on this system to see if you are eligible for credit with that company.
